Stopped Playing Again!!

Hi,

Yep, I've stopped playing again. It came after I did play quite a bit one day. The next day, my left elbow/forearm was sore and so I had to stop for a while. It was better when I only played for about 30 minutes at a time, but there you go, no more play for me for a while.

I'm back. Playing only a little bit, but leveling some more. Anyway. A Happy New Year to all of you out there.

I've been playing a bit, leveling my level 93s, and got some more to level 97. I just got my Mage on Silver Hand to 97, and it's the Paladin next. I should play a bit more mow to make use of the WoW Anniversary exp bonus. We'll see how it goes. I have to play on our clunky old iMac instead of my laptop, because I still have the Tennis Elbow problem.

More Leveling!!

Hi,

I did a lot of leveling this week, and not much else. I finally got all my leveling characters to 93. Yay!! Now I'll start back on Zandybrit and get them to 96, or 97, or maybe even do them to 100, one at a time. I have 11 characters at 93 now, they all have done exactly the same quests, and some of them are further into 93 than the others due to the 15th Anniversary exp. bonus.

I didn't really do much else this week, oh except to keep up on the Windwool cloth farming on Priestybrit on Ghostlands. No checking even for gold emissaries or anything on my 2 profession characters, Voidbrit and Priestybrit on Garrosh. Oh Voidbrit did go back to the old world and got Alchemy to 75 for the Darkmoon Faire. I guess I'll do the same on Priestybrit soon.

Finally did the 15th Anniversary stuff!!

Hi,

With my limited play time, I finally got around to doing the 15 Anniversary stuff. That is, the Chromie part of it. I've no interest in doing any PvP for the other mounts. It was pretty tough doing all those old Raids, and it was so annoying to have to do them all again when you wiped on Ragnaros. Ragnaros was the most annoying boss. All that stuff you needed to stay away from and basically dead before you can do much. But, on the third try, we finally got Ragnaros down.

New Achievements

I've been doing some random stuff this week. I haven't been leveling anyone particularly, but did level Priestybrit on Garrosh a little bit. And she carried on doing Windwool Cloth on the farm for Imperial Silk.

Talking of bags, I found out something new this week that I didn't know before. There's an elite in Tirigarde Sound who drops a 28-slot bag. Who knew. The name of the mob is Totes. I presume you all know I prefer 28-slot to 30-slot bags. I don't like those extra two slots sticking out :)

I played around with Voidbrit and Priestybrit on Garrosh a bit too. They did the Nazjatar emissary and got 25 manapearls each. Voibrit crafted some Flasks and got to 115 in Alchemy. I think that Priestybrit is about 35 in Tailoring :). I haven't pulled the trigger on any more professions yet, I want to see how these go first.

Priestybrit finished the War Campaign required for the extra champion, and now has the 6 like all the others.

Voidbrit actually got a drop from the Chromie stuff, and is my first character to reach 400 iLvL !!! She's 401 now.

No gold-making or anything this week.

Back to Professions!!

Hi,

Well, I decided that with the fall in prices of all gathering mats, it was time to pick up some professions again, rather than sell the mats. I decided to concentrate on Garrosh, and set up Voidbrit with Alchemy. It's a shame that the 36 slot Mining Bag won't be used now, but she's just going to bank it until she needs it again. I funneled all the herbs from all Garrosh 120s to her, and soon her alchemy was getting moving.

Alchemy to 100!!

Now she's going to need to craft some flasks, so she's been farming Riverbud (and getting some Anchor Weed along the way too!!). Oh, the other thing she's doing is leveling Cooking too, so she's spending some time fishing.

I also got Priestybrit set up with Tailoring. All the tailoring mats were funneled to her, and she's at about level 25 tailoring right now.

As I've said, I'm not playing much, so I only got Beastybrit to level 93, and Lightbrit is now in the Dark Portal scenario.

Pallybrit on Draenor got enough Imperial Silk to craft a Royal Satchel, so she's stopped now. Priestybrit on Ghostlands is getting close, and still farming up Windwool Cloth.

That's about it. Not concerned with gold right now. I'm subscribed with tokens through next summer anyway.

Playing Again!!

Hi,

Well, my elbows are not fully healed yet, but I'm playing a bit again now. I'm actually not playing on the laptop which is causing the issue (certainly with my left one), but am playing on the clunky 7 year old iMac we have. It takes quite a while to log in, and to load the graphics etc., but it's ok if you play on one character for a while. It's not at all conducive to switching between characters a lot.

So, what have I been up to. Well, here's the thing. I know that Vulpera are coming in 8.3 and I really want a new Vulpera Warlock. So, what to do? Well, here's my thought process. I am going to need bags (Royal Satchel, Hyjal bag etc.) so I want to get a Tailor up and running again. Mageybrit was still a Tailor, but she didn't have the August Celestials rep, and I'm really thinking she will be the one I delete to make a Vulpera. So, I took up Tailoring again on Priestybrit. She headed off to Pandaria and started leveling up MoP Tailoring.

She got her Tailoring to 50/75 already and now has 4 Imperial Silk. She'll soon have a Royal Satchel. It is nice now that professions are 'per expansion' and you don't have to level from level 1 in the old world.

So, I played my Tailor on Draenor too. I realized that KulTiranBrit was lacking a Royal Satchel. So, Pallybrit is doing the daily Imperial Silk too.

So, here's the thing. I'm honestly thinking of switching my characters to have other professions again. That's right, get away from all gathering and back to other professions. I really miss having them. It was great making all that gold from gathering early in BFA, but what you can get for all the herbs, ore, and skins is not that great any more. So, I may well do that soon. Maybe try that that on one character and see how it goes? In fact, might this be a model for each expansion. Have gathering professions for the first year, and then switch to other professions?

OK, so I've just been leveling my level 90s. All my Silver Hand characters made it to 93, and now I'm working on Beastybrit on Garrosh. I know I could wait until Shadowlands and faster leveling, but  that's about 10 months away.

Anyway, I've kind of sworn off gold making for now. I might actually switch to a subscription next summer.

Oh, I should just give an update on my Shadowlands Review: It looks like you 'will' be able to solo old raids even at level 50. There's something called Chromie Time where you talk to Chromie to make all the zones 10-50. But you can also turn it off, to have MoP the appropriate level compared to BFA etc. Good stuff. It was my only major concern with Shadowlands.

My Shadowlands Review!!

Hi,

Well, Blizzcon is now over, and we have a lot of information on the next WoW expansion: Shadowlands. So, what are the major features:

1.  2020 Release Date

Sounds good. Before the end of 2020, probably in the August -> November timeframe

2. 5 New Zones

Sounds good. New zones in a new continent is always the best. I'm sure they will be stunning, and a pain to navigate on a ground mount :)

3. Level Squish to 50, Level to 60 in Shadowlands

Nothing wrong with this in principal. A straight level squish with leveling the same at it is now. I have no problem with our levels being cut at all.

4. Revamped Leveling Experience - Level 1-10 in a new zone, 10-50 in any expansion, 50-60 in Shadowlands.

Omg. This is the killer for me. Get from 10-50 in a single expansion? Can choose any Expansion? Extrapolate from this and everything in every expansion scales from 10-50. That's going to be awful. And why the heck is it 10 levels in Shadowlands? What about the next expansion? Will Shadowlands just be added to the expansions for 10-60 play? Arrggh. If they announce that WoD and before Raids won't be legacy loot for level 50s, that will be it for me. No more WoW.

5. Choose a Covenant - Gain two abilities, one class specific. Changes your gameplay.

Fine. Sounds good. I don't think this choice really matters for a casual like me. Just choose the one most in line with what you're playing.

6. Torghast, Tower of the Damned - Endless ever-changing dungeon that can be played solo or with up to 4 players

This sounds like end-game stuff that I just wouldn't participate in. It's probably only needed for the min-maxers for Raiding etc.

7. Improved Character Customization for existing races - Hide bones on Undead, Wildhammer Dwarf Tattoos, and more

This sounds amazing. Some of the stuff for Humans (of which I play a lot) is great too. 

8. 4 Dungeons while leveling and 4 more Max level Dungeons

Whatever. I haven't really cared about dungeons except for getting stuff you needed from them for professions.

9. A new Raid

Blah. Whatever. Cool. Go have fun, you Raiders.

I'm sure there's tons of stuff I've missed. But the main things are really the Covenants and the Leveling stuff.

So, the upshot of this is that this is probably the end of my time in WoW. This might well be my last blog post.
