End Game Progress!!

Hi,

All I've been playing this week is Mentalbrit on Silver Hand. If you remember what I talked about last week, it's that flying is the number 1 goal for me, and that comes in the 3rd chapter of the story in Korthia, the new zone in 9.1. I have no clue what the requirements are, but it seems that these story parts are from renown level 40 onwards. So I'm pretty sure I need to be renown 40, and have the covenant story finished.

So, Mentalbrit did Callings, did some more of the Covenant story, and actually also picked up ties World Quest weekly quest (requiring 20 WQs be done) and just managed to get finished with that. She also did the World Boss this week, and .......

That's right, a level 207 Back piece from Valinor (or whatever that boss is called). This brought her up to 156 iLvL. She didn't do any Torghast or anything else like dungeons or anything. Oh, she did a get 177 piece from the Covenant campaign too, so that helped too.

She's now at renown level 25. Making good progress towards level 40. I hope to get more levels this week. If I've read things correctly, there are weekly quests that give renown etc., so I should be able to do some of those.

Flying is Coming!!

Hi,

Yes! Coming in 9.1 is the new zone, Korthia. Once you've unlocked that (I still don't know the requirements for that), you only have to progress the campaign there a couple of chapters, to unlock flying for the whole expansion. When I first saw this, I thought, there's no point playing any more in Shadowlands until I get flying. So, I got on Felbrit on Garrosh, and got her through the SL intro and to level 81. Then I played Looneybrit on Silver Hand and got her to level 42.

But, reading more into it, and thinking more about it, there are probably some requirements on a level 60 to be able to access Korthia. So, I guess I'll be playing Mentalbrit again. She's currently renown 19 now and progressing through the Covenant Campaign. I guess I need to get renown higher and get further into the Campaign, and so, I'll play her again next week.

She's ready :)

Oh, I did play Beastybrit some more on Ghostlands too, she got to 57 and then got to wear the level 57 required armor she crafted.

Bloody Inner Flames!!

Hi,

More end-game this week, and a little bit of leveling. I just can't stop playing Mentalbrit. It's pretty fun trying to get more Renown, doing Callings, and progressing the Covenant Campaign.

One thing though. I'm still on the quest to get 1250 Soul Ash, and I had another couple of quests in Torghast. I went in there, and I guess there was some reason I was put in Soulforge layer 2 (I just cannot figure this out at all). Anyway. Things were progressing well, and I was killing things pretty easily and getting the quests complete. Yay, I'll get more Soul Ash. Well no. I got to the final boss on level 6, and I was doing all right, but then he cast Inner Flames. I had no idea what this was, and was shocked when he healed back to full health. OK. Better interrupt next time. So, I cast Shadowfury when he started Inner Flames. It didn't do any good though. He still healed and did more damage. With Shadowfury on CD, I had no opportunity to interrupt again and just died and hearthed to hand in the quests I completed. No Soul Ash :( I looked up the ability on wowhead, but it seems like there's no way for me to interrupt it all the time as a Warlock. I guess I'm not doing that wing any more.

I can't figure Conduits out either. I've unlocked 2 thingys on the left, but don't know what that's all about . I also don't know what the different tracks are, or what the advantages are. Oh well. Mentalbrit did get to iLevel 150 though, so that's something at least.

I leveled Beastybrit to 56, getting a lot more Skinning done. She's got level 50 Leatherworking now, and can craft level 60 gear now. I guess I should get my Tailoring up so that I can craft some gear for Mentalbrit.

Renown Level 15!!

Hi,

Well, I had planned to stay off my level 60 and play alts all week, but I just couldn't resist finding out more about endgame play. So, I stayed on my level 60 all week. I didn't play that much, but I did enough callings and other stuff to get Renown up to level 15.

Mentalbrit also did a dungeon, but didn't get any loot from it. She's now at ilevel 147, and I'm really bummed that even at Renown 15, World Quests are still only giving ilevel 148 loot. Oh she also did the World Boss this week, and no loot from that either.

She didn't go back to Torgast at all, but maybe that's something for next week. I don't know if I'll be playing on her a lot coming up, but it was nice to get some Renown, update Conduits a bit, and finally get enough Anima for the 1000 Anima quest.

Confused About Endgame!!

Hi,

I decided to play my level 60 a bit this week. She did a wing of Torgast to complete a quest and got 125 Soul Ash. Wow. I'm not doing it over and over to get 1250. That's a bit ridiculous. So I decided to try and complete more of the Sanctum stuff, and Covenant stuff, and I'm just so confused about Shadowlands endgame. She did do the World Boss, and is now at Reknown level 8, but I have no clue what that really means anyway. It says that some stuff is now unlocked, but I can't figure it out. She also unlocked the Adventure table (SL version of the mission table I guess), but that also seems overly complicated. I guess I'm just going to continue to level alts now. I've parked her in the Covenant and set the Hearth there too.

So, I was leveling others all over the place, all on Ghostlands. Lockybrit made it to 52, as did Huntingbrit and Beastybrit made it to 55 in Maldraxus. I've just been doing Shadowlands stuff this week and haven't leveled any lower level characters at all.

I can't remember being this confused and annoyed with end-game in BFA. The mission table was fine. Understanding what you needed to do to gear up (mostly World Quests) and Dungeons was fine too. I guess I could try and do those in Shadowlands too. But World Quests just seem more difficult, and I don't know much about Dungeons. Anyway, back to alts.

My Tailor Makes It to Oribos!!

Hi,

I pretty much only played Priestybrit this week, my tailor on Ghostlands. She quested in Vol'Dun mostly, after having finished the War campaign of visiting the 3 Alliance Zones. It did feel like a lot of a grind, but I guess not too bad. She didn't even finish Vol'Dun and made it to 50. Then, she did the Shadowlands intro and finally made it to Oribos. There, she got all the cloth from my other characters in SL and then started up her Tailoring.

As you can see, she can make a lot of cloth stuff, but I have the decision of whether to do lots of Bracers to send to my Enchanter, or to make other stuff to level up Tailoring. I think I'll level Tailoring for now. There'll be plenty of time to make lots of Bracers.

I did dabble on Beastybrit some more. She did some more skinning and advanced in Maldraxus just a bit. I'll probably get on her a bit more next week. It is nice having so many in Oribos right now. I can pick and choose what to play.

Having Fun Skinning!!

Hi,

Still playing on my Horde, and playing mostly Beastybrit. She made it to Maldraxus, and is having fun skinning along the way. Every time she would go to Bastion, she took a little detour around Aspirants Rest to skin some of the mobs there. Now she's in Maldraus, there's a spot where there are lots of beasts where I kill and skin too. Her Leatherworking is now 32 and Skinning is 102. Here's the roster on Ghostlands.

I also played on Voidbrit a little bit. She got quite a lot of gear from Beastybrit, and is leveling Enchanting. I was sooo ready for her to drop Herbalism and pick up Tailoring, but she has a 36 slot Herb Bag, and more herbs for my Scribe and Alchemist will always be good. So I played Priestybrit a bit more. I may try and get her to 50 and into Shadowlands soon.

Having completed Bastion on Beastybrit and quested more on Voidbrit, I've come very comfortable with the Bastion questing. It's now a breeze because I pretty much always know what's coming next.

BTW - I haven't touched my level 60 (Mentalbrit) for weeks now. I really can't be bothered with Shadowlands end game at all. Leveling alts is where it's at for me
