Level 49 into Shadowlands!!

Hi,

Well, 9.1.5 dropped this week. I didn't really do anything relating to it other than:

I decided to take another Draenor character into Shadowlands, so I started leveling Flayingbrit again. She made it to 49 in BFA, and I thought: Why not just get her into Shadowlands and see what the experience is like getting there before 50 and see how it goes. Well, she went to start the maw, but had the option to skip it, so she skipped it and got straight to Oribos. Here she is getting her Professions (Herbalism and Alchemy) sorted out.

She started Bastion and got started on her herring etc. The mobs were a bit tough, but she did OK, and she made it to level 50. I did do some side quests, and I presume she'll have to do more.

The idea is that Unstablebrit can funnel her herbs to Flaying and get her Alchemy off to a flying start. I'll probably level them both in the next week or so. I should probably get my Tailor (Gnomeybrit or Pallybrit) there soon too.

BTW: I know they hot fixed the Maw skip so that it can't be done with < level 50s. I was lucky to do it before they did :)

Completed Revendreth!!

Hi,

I played Flictionbrit more and she completed Revendreth and chose the Maldraxus covenant. But then I stopped playing her, and immediately got on Unstablebrit and headed out to Bastion to quest.

As I said. I'm leveling in Shadowlands now and not bothering with my other characters right now. I guess I should be playing on Flictionbrit and getting her renown to 80, but I really can't be bothered with that, even though it's 9.1.5 tomorrow. I don't really have any reason to have a renown 80 either, as I don't really care about changing covenants or anything else to do with that.

Well, it's 9.1.5 tomorrow, and I'll play a bit before it comes online, but probably won't after, as it's going to be down nearly all day. I'm working a lot over the next two weeks too, so I won't really have much time to play or do anything.

My 4th Level 60!!

Hi,

Yes!! I just got Flictionbrit to 60 this morning. She went from 56 to 60 this week, finishing up Maldraxus, doing Ardenweald and then about 3/7 of Revendreth. She's only iLvL 129, and I guess she'll get a bit higher by the time she's finished Revendreth. I will play her until then and get her to choose a Covenant. Here she is, questing in Revendreth.

I think I'll choose the Maldraxus Covenant for her. I haven't go that one on any of my characters yet. I really don't want to choose Bastion because of the stupid Steward ability.

Anyway. That's about it for this week. I think I'll get Flictionbrit to a Covenant this week, and then maybe level another character in Shadowlands. Really enjoying Shadowlands right now.

Mostly Shadowlands!!

Hi,

I leveled almost exclusively in Shadowlands this week. I leveled Flictionbrit in Maldraxus and got her to level 56. She's done about 5/7 chapters there. Here she is at the seat of the Primus (where you have to go to empower all the runes). I'm really enjoying leveling in Shadowlands again, and especially with a Warlock :)

She's leveling her mining like crazy too. She's up to about 120 now. But Engineering is going very slowly. She's at about 30 now. I did do a little bit of Madbrit too this week, on Silver Hand, but she stayed at level 47.

I really didn't play much because I didn't have a lot of time off work this week. I should be playing more next week.

A Slight Change!!

Hi,

Well, I did carry on leveling Looneybrit. I got her to 49 and then just didn't have the motivation to level any further. So, I decided I'd level them all to 49, and then to 50. It will just make it smoother, and give them lots of rested at 49.

So, I got Looneybrit to 49 completely in Drustvar with still plenty of Drustvar to do, and then I started leveling Madbrit in Drustvar. I got her to 47, but then I stopped for now.

But then, I decided on a change of pace. I fancied playing Shadowlands again, so I jumped on Flictionbrit, on Draenor, and she headed out to Maldraxus. It was fun in SL again, and I can see myself switching between BFA and SL over the next few weeks. Oh, and it was great playing a Warlock again, rather than classes I really don't care for (Warrior and Monk).

All to 45!!

Hi,

Yes!! I got all my characters to 45 this week. I know I only had to get Shaolinbrit to 45, but I didn't play much at all last week, and was happy to get this done. I then played Looneybrit a bit, getting her to level 46 in Drustvar. Getting back to Boralas occasionally to do some Blacksmithing, or complete quests there too.

There she is, just chilling in Boralas. I am worried that it's going to take quite a bit to get to get to 50 on each character and this will take months and months. Oh well. I might take a break every now and then to level a character in Shadowlands. I might even play my level 60s at some point.

Thoughts on 9.1.5!!

Hi,

It's time for my take on what's coming in 9.1.5. Not that it will really affect what I do, but here goes. First, let me tell you how far I've got getting everyone to level 45.

I'm close! So close. I'm working on the last one now. Shoalinbrit, one of my Monks. She just made it to level 43 after doing the first of the war campaign segments. What I do with them is to travel round Boralus and Tirigarde Sound a bit, leveling their professions and getting some treasures and war resources. Then they go an kill Totes to get the 28 slot bag. Then I start the War Campaign segments with them.

With this approach, the last couple to get to 45 have got there before getting to the last segments. That's because they were high 40 or 41 and hadn't even made it to BFA yet.

OK. On to 9.1.5. The changes are mostly quality of life improvements for level 60s who have made it to renown 80. The ability to swap between covenants, and the ability to skip parts of the renown process on alts doesn't really affect me. I guess I will get Mentalbrit to renown 80 eventually and then I might actually get to benefit from it. Skipping the Maw introduction will definitely affect me. Although I'm very worried about the lack on experience will mean a bottleneck at the end of Bastion if you do skip it, not getting to level 53 or whatever is required. There's also stuff about conduits that I don't really care about either. I'll be leveling tons of characters to 50 in 9.1.5 while everyone else is enjoying the high level stuff.

That's about it. I hope to get the last character to 45 this week, and then continue on my 45s, getting them to 50.

Very Little Progress!!

Hi,

Yeah, because of my busy work and life schedule, I didn't play much this week. I did get Kultiranbrit to level 45. I then started on my Pandaren Priest, Bamboodbrit. I made a mistake last week saying that Kultiranbrit had done all three War Campaigns. She had only done one, and doing the other 2 got her close to 45. She got Herbalism up to 50 and Mining there too. She did the Herbalism quests and got to 45. Bamboodbit is now on the 2nd of the War Campaigns, about to complete the Zandalar one:

She got to level 42. She got to 41 just doing the introduction to BFA, then 42 after doing the Vol'Dun one. Just 4 more to do after I get her to 45. I can't wait for that, and then get the level 45s to 50s. Once I get them all to 50, I'll have 50 level 50s :)

That's about it. As you recall, I'm paying for a subscription now, so I'm not concerned with how much gold I have, or am making. I might add it all up soon though.
