My 2nd level 120!!

Hi,

Yes!! Lavabrit made it to 120 this week. I remember now why I was leveling a Shaman, when I really don't like the gameplay. It's because she had Alchemy :) Oh well, she's 120 now and doing the Emissary stuff just like Mentalbrit is. No more Shamans now, it's all Warlocks and Hunters.

Talking of Warlocks, I'm leveling on Horde now. I got Lockybrit to 114 before I realized I wanted to park her in Orgrimmar to do auctions. So, I started leveling Voidbrit, and she's 115 now. I really don't like the start of the first Horde zone. It's all in the Temple area, and there are hardly any Herb or Ore nodes. Once out in the zone though, it's fine, and the story with all the beasts is a lot of fun. Vol'dun is really fun too.

I've been working on Pathfinder on Mentalbrit too. She got to Revered for the 7th Legion this week, and finished the War Campaign.

So, all that is left to be done is getting all the reputations to Revered. I've only got Champions of Azeroth and Tortolan Seekers to get to Revered now. It will probably take a week or two more. There's no rush really, because the stuff we've seen about 8.1 doesn't mention flying at all. Mentalbrit is gearing up too. She got to 318. So close to 320, which is required for Warfronts, and LFR. I guess she should be doing Heroic Dungeons now, but she has only done regular dungeons for profession quests.

I'm also leveling a bit on Draenor, just to make some gold. I want to buy tokens on either Draenor or Ghostlands, so I want to get gold up to over 100k on those realms, while getting more gold on Silver Hand and Garrosh.

I've also been doing a little leveling of lower level characters too on Silver Hand. Maniacbrit made it to 53, and Bonkersbrit made it to 31.

I also did some Uldum for Volatile life on Ghostlands, getting enough for a few more Hyjal bags.

Now for gold:

Just some regular gold this week from selling herbs, ore, and some skinning stuff. I made a mistake a while back on the Draenor toons. I have 7 x 500k, not 8 x 500k. So the totals are going to look a bit funny this week, but finally correct.

Farming for Bags!!

Hi,

Yes, farming for Burnished Mining Bags, and Hyjal Expedition Bags. That's Burnished Leather in the garrison for the Mining Bags, and Volatile Life and Embersilk Cloth for Herb Bags.

Farming in Uldum

On that point, I didn't realize that had a Sky Golem already :) I guess I crafted that years ago and kept it rather than selling it. I'm done with bags on Silver Hand and Garrosh, and done with Mining bags on Ghostlands and Draenor. But the Hyjal bags are still needed on Ghostlands and Draenor/Echo Isles. So, still a lot of Uldum and Bastion of Twilight intro to go on those realms :)

What else has been going on? Well, Mentalbrit got Drustvar completed, and got the achievement for completing all the Alliance questing. Then, she finished the Explore part of Pathfinder Part 1 too. So, she has World Quests (easy), Reputation (a grind), and War Campaign (easy because of the Rep grind). So, we're nearly there. She also geared up a lot from World Quests. She's now iLvL 312 (nearly ready to do LFR).

Lots of leveling this week, all over the place. I decided to make progress on lots of characters now that they have gathering professions all sorted out. I even decided to level Lockybrit on Horde. My gosh, what a horrible starting place the Horde get compared to the Alliance. She's been questing tons, and there are hardly any gathering nodes around, and really hasn't made it out of the initial area yet. Yuck! I'll continue with it though, as now she'll get out and about and collect tons of herbs and ore.

Lavabrit is now 117 and I could have got her to 120 if it wasn't for all the leveling of other characters. I actually got Loopybrit to 110 this week too. That's my 21st 110 :)

I'm trying something different with Crazybrit on Silver Hand. She just did the first few quests in Stormsong Valley to open up the scouting board, and is trying Tirigarde Sound first. I'll send another character off to Drutvar too. I'm getting a bit fed up with Stormsong Valley as a starting zone.

Now for gold:

Tons of gold this week from selling Ore, Herbs, and Leather/Scales on Silver Hand. And my Sky Golem sold on Garrosh, getting about 135K for it.

My New Favorite Mount!!

My Highland Mustang

I got it from doing a bit of Warfronts on the first day it was active. It was fun that day because there were so many doing it, and stuff got killed pretty quickly. I did more for a gear quest in Arathi later, but boy, those mobs hit hard, and swarm very quickly. I don't think I'm doing Arathi any more. Isn't it a nice mount though? I know it's just a horse re-color, but I really like it, and am using it on all of my Alliance characters now.

Mentalbrit continued to do emissary quest each day, to get rep, gear, gold and azerite. She's progressing well and is now gear level 301. Not enough for Heroics yet though :). She actually did a couple of dungeons this week. I think it depends on the group, because one of them was really tough and the group split and I left because of all the dying. The other was fine though. She's progressed a bit more in Drustvar too, but hasn't made any noticeable progress on Pathfinder this week though. She did unlock a bit more of the War Campaign, and now is getting 150g missions with 125g bonus.

In other news, all the profession changes are made on Silver Hand. They've all got 36 slot bags for Mining, Skinning, or Herbing. So, they are all herbing/mining, skinning/mining, except for Mentalbrit, who is herbing/skinning. For all my other characters, I've decided that if they have herbing, they'll get mining. If they have mining, they'll get herbing. And if they have skinning, they'll get mining. Mining seems to be the best for making gold, herbing is second, and skinning is last. On the other three realms, I'm busy farming for mats for bags and will convert all professions soon. I have made a ton of gold off BFA mats already. Oh by the way, I did finish making a Sky Golem on Garrosh, but it hasn't sold yet.

I've been leveling several characters too. Lavabrit got to 116. I'm also leveling Loopybrit on Silver Hand, getting her to 108. I also leveled Maniacbrit, getting her to 52. Lockybrit made some more progress in Surumar, but still hasn't got to the first part of Insurrection yet :)

Some Drastic Changes!!

Hi,

Sorry for no blog post last week. I was really busy with work and taking the wife to the airport. So I had no time at all to post on Monday.

Anyway, what are these drastic changes I'm talking about? Here goes. I decided that I'm going to change all my characters to have gathering professions only. Why? Several reasons. I saw how many resources it takes to level up any profession, and I realized that I could make way more gold by just selling the mats instead. Also, some of the cool items you can craft require Hydrocore. This is only available in Mythic Dungeons, so I won't be getting any of it. So that's it, I've started converting all my characters to either Mining/Herbing, Mining/Skinning, or Herbing/Skinning. Mentalbrit went with Herbing/Skinning. Herbs are still getting around 40g each right now, and they were getting in excess of 50g each last week. I haven't tried selling any Leather stuff yet. Lavabrit has gone Mining/Herbing and I'm progressing her through Stormsong Valley now.

With no crafting professions, that means no more crafting bags. So I'm holding off converting my Tailors and Leatherworkers until I have Hyjal Bags for all the Herbing, Burnished Leather bags for all the Skinning, and Burnish Mining bags for all the Miners. Also, I'm keeping on making Royal Satchels right now. I've also decided to keep going with Felbrit and Shammybrit on Garrosh for 6 days, until I can make a Sky Golem. But I've stopped making Hexweave Bags now.

I've also been doing the daily emissary stuff on Mentalbrit and progressing more into Drustvar.

What I also did was take all my 110s into Kul Tiras. I did the Alliance intro Scenario with Flynn on all my Alliance characters, and tried to skip it on my horde characters. I had a hell of a time figuring out how to skip it on horde, but eventually figured it out. When you get to meet your team in Orgrimmar, do not click on the potion, just talk to Nathanos (sp?) and then you can skip the scenario.

I've also been doing more Surumar on Lockybrit, working towards unlocking the Insurrection achievement for one of the allied races. What a grind. But she is making quite a bit of gold from it, but she hasn't even got to the first step of the achievement yet lol.

No gold info this week. I did buy two tokens for 114k each. It's fantastic that the price is dropping so much. Not a lot of passive gold income in BFA it seems. Missions only give 100g with 85g bonus. Occasionally there's a 700g emissary reward. More gold info next week.
