Gold, Tokens, and the Master Plan!

WoW:

First, let's talk about Tokens. I kept getting reminded in the launcher that I only had 4 months remaining. I'm planning to play for a lot longer, and not getting bored with the Master Plan or anything, so I decided that the time was ripe to get more tokens. This is especially because the price has been rising steadily, just got over 30K, and just back to just below 30K. So, I got on Draenybrit, and used some of the 532K to buy 5 tokens for about 29K each. Yay, no more launcher reminding.

Now, let's talk about Gold. Because I was away for a week, I hadn't put anything on the AH for ages. So, I had lots of stuff to sell, and to make and sell. I put up all sorts of stuff"

True Iron Ore, Blackrock Ore, Frostweed, Gorgrond Flytrap, Greater Draenic Intellect Flask, Draenic Agility Potion, Draenic Strength Potion, Whiptail (that I farmed), Raw Beast Hide, Wayfaring Belt, Hexweave Gloves, and Hexweave Essence.

The Hexweave Essence was a test. I bought 15 Savage Blood, and 15 Sorecerous Water on AH (spending about 1.5K). I then crafted one, and it sold for 4.4K. Not bad at all. So, my gold making really went up this week, just doing the Garrison missions, and selling stuff on the AH.

About the Master Plan. Major Progress this week, as Lockybrit made it to 90, and started contributing to Leveling. She also just finished the Frostfire Ridge quests and Bonus Objectives for another point in Completing Draenor. She also got a couple of crafted pieces from Priesty for a couple more points in the Crafted Gear category. She actually got to level 93, and is now ready to hit Gorgrond. I got the Lumber Mill for her (barn later) just to accelerate the GRs a bit. She's already flown to Gorgrond for some small trees. Here she is, completing the FFR Bonus Objectives:

Other than this, Voidbrit leveled a bit, making it to level 72. She'll be the next power leveler :). I also played Combatbrit a bit, and leveled her to 64. Now everyone is at least 64.

Hearthstone:

In Hearthstone, I continued doing quests when I had 3 of them, on both Americas and Europe. I also did the Brawl on both, and got the free packs. I switched from Classic to Goblins and Gnomes on Americas, but when I filtered my collection and showed all the good Classic cards I was missing, I went back to Classic packs :) I also decided to try grinding for wins for 10g for 3 wins. To do this, I crafted a budget Face Hunter, and had fun playing in Casual, winning most of my games. Here's the deck:

Except that I don't have 2 Arcane Golems, so I subbed in a 3 cost Sleath beast for it. I also decided to play Ranked again, and played my Priest. I had a nice win streak going, but it stopped when I faced a really good Paladin deck, that played Muster for Battle and then the Battlecry all Recruits have +2 attack, after I had already used both my Holy Novas - sigh. Well, I got to rank 18, so that's where I'll stop.

The plans for next week are level Locky to 100. Also, to level Void much higher, and probably gear all the 100s a bit more in the Timewaling BC event which is coming up next weekend. Also, I'm doing shipyards, and need to get the Battleship plans on Priesty, so I want to get that done too.

In Hearthstone, I'll continue doing the quests, and the brawls, and hope to complete BRM on Americas too.

Back from the Uk!

Hi,

I'm back, and playing again. I was in the UK for a week for my mum's birthday and to see other family. I managed to play a little bit over there on my laptop, but just doing garrison stuff once in a while.

I got back last night and did more garrison chores, went to Sunsong Ranch, trapped some more elite beasts, and then leveled Lockybrit to 85. She's questing in Panadaria now, and got to 86 this morning.

Well, what was I up to before I went, and since the last blog post?

I remember taking Elfybrit through a Timewalking Dungeon and then getting tons of Timewarped gear to make it to 639. Other than doing garrison chores on the level 100s, I also made lots of gear upgrades, and Elfy crafted a ring for Priesty and gearing up is going very nicely indeed. I can't wait for the next Timewaling bonus event towards the end of September, so I can can get more 675 pieces.

The rest of the time was spent on Lockybrit. She leveled through the end of Norhtrend, only needing to do a bit of Icecrown. She then breezed through Cata, only doing Mount Hyjal and Uldum, and made it to level 86. I think I need to level one of the others now also.

In Hearthstone, I've been waiting until I get three quests before I do them. That's because they usually overlap somewhat, and it's nice to be making progress on two at once. I am getting a new Classic pack every time I get to 100g, and am getting more cards on both Europe and Americas. I also did the Brawls to get my free pack each week.I also cleared quite a bit of BRM on Americas. It's annoying not having the Adventures on Europe, but I'm doing that as strictly F2P. I guess I could save up the gold, but I'm not doing that yet.,

The plan for the coming week is to level Locky and get her into Draenor. She'll actually get a barn and be my second elite trapper. Then I need to choose my next to level. I think it will be Voidbrit. Enchanting will be useful. In Hearthstone,  I'll clear more of BRM, and continue to do quests and Brawls in both Americas and Europe. I got to Rank 20 on both of them a while back, and won't try to push any higher I don't think.

My 4th Horde 100!

Hi,

Yep, Elfy got to 100 just this morning. She finished off Spires of Arak just after hitting 98. She then did Skyreach for the final quest and to get the 640 ring, and hit Nagrand at about 98 1/2. I decided to grind some Gorgrond bonus objectives to boost the xp and for the Master Plan, and quested a fair bit in Nagrand, and mined tons of ore, to finally get to 100. Oh, she also got mining to 700.

Other than leveling Elfy, I also leveled Locky a bit this week. She quested in Borean Tundra, hit Dragonblight, did a few dungeons, and hit level 74, and is about to head to Grizzly Hills. She will be the main focus, now that Elfy has hit 100.

I also leveled Mageybrit a bit. She did the Naga quests, a few dungeons, some other Zangamarsh quests, and made it to 64.

Another focus this week was Timewalking Dungeons. When I read up on wowhead what you could get with Timewarped Badges (lots of 675 gear), I decided that that would be the best way to gear up. And indeed it was. Just doing one Timewalking dungeon gave my 100s 500+ Badges to get all the gear they needed, but once they finish 5, then get a 690 random piece too. This is amazing. Shammy got the most benefit, as she was the lowest geared, but Beasty and Priesty also got geared up more. Elfy will definitely have to get one done tonight.

In crafting news, Shammy upgraded her trinket to 685. Beasty crafted a couple more Burnished essence, to upgrade herself and Shammy, and Elfy crafted a neckpiece for herself. She's now getting the Secrets for the Taladite Amplifier recipe.

In Hearthstone. On Americas, I kept doing quests and opening packs. I also cleared Naxx, and will buy BRM this week. My Priest deck is still going well, and I got to Rank 20 again for this season. I don't know whether to bother trying to get any higher, because that's where the really good decks with tons of Legendaries are, and I usually lose a lot there. I also created my own Mage deck for fun. Regular Mage cards, but tons of Protectors. Quite fun, and winning more than losing in casual. On Europe, I also got to Rank 20 with Priest, and got quests done and opened packs. I can't make decks as good as Americas though, because no Naxx cards.

Blaugust day 31 - Goodbye Blaugust!

Hi,

It's the last day of Blaugust. What a month it's been, and what a week it's been. It's been fun posting every single day, but I'll be happy to get back to once a week. Yep, Blaugust is over, but I will still post every week.

So, a lot happened this week. Shammybrit got to 100 and got Alchemy to 700, and is now converting lots of Sorcerous to Sorcerous Earth for the others. She also made the 640 Trinket for herself as the third crafted piece.

Elfybrit made it to 90, and got into Draenor. She's now doing Frostfire Ridge, getting mining leveled up and has started on JC. She recently upgraded her Garrison to level 2, and has now got a mine too, now that she is level 92. The thing I'm doing differently on Elfy is not doing any Follower Missions until she's 100 and has the Garrison all set up. This is to save Garrison Resources. We'll see how this compares to doing Follower Missions all along.

I also leveled up Lockybrit quite a bit. She made level 68 and into Northrend. She's now 69 having run Utgarde Keep, and is nearly level 70. She will be the next one to get to 100 after Elfy does.

Last night and this morning, I leveled Huntingbrit a bit. She ran Hallfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace and quested a bit and leveled mining and hit 64 this morning. This is to let others rest up a bit.

The other thing I did on the weekend was get on my Alliance Priest and get the final 10 treasures for Draenor Pathfinder. I can wait until Elfybrit will be flying while leveling in Draenor tomorrow!

I also ran Priesty through Firelands last night. Getting more serious about making gold now. She's at about 106K now.

In Hearthstone, I purchased the last three wings of Naxx with $$. I cleared the 3rd wing, and first boss of the 4th wing. Then I crafted two Ironbark Owls for the 2nd boss of the 4th wing, and beat it with my Priest this morning. I've been doing quests on both America and Europe. I also played Ranked in Europe with my Priest and got to Rank 20. So, Rank 19 in America, and Rank 20 in Europe.

And of course, there was the almost disaster of not being able to log in to play. I had an Authenticator for Battlenet. It was on the old phone, so didn't work on my new one. I had to submit a ticket, and get in a live chat with a very friendly GM to get the Authenticator removed from the account. Then I could log in again.

The plan for the coming week is to get Elfybrit to 100, get Lockybrit leveled as much as possible, and probably work on another one too. In Hearthstone, I'll continue buying packs with all the gold I get, continue to do the quests, and see if I can increase my card pool significantly.

Blaugust Day 30 - Disaster Averted!

It's the 30th (and pen-ultimate) day of Blaugust. Let's see what I was up to, and what the title is all about.

Last night, I came into the den expecting to play WoW for a while. However, it asked me to log in again (must have been 30 days), and then asked for the Authenticator code. Well, I got a new phone recently, so downloaded the Auth, and of course it didn't work. I couldn't understand why not, but it all makes sense. The Auth is tied to a particular device. My old phone was traded in and so that's a non starter. The saving grace was that the Laptop was still ok - phew. I submitted a ticket, then got in a live chat with a GM this morning. After answering questions to make sure I was actually me, they removed the Auth, and I'm now able to log in in the den again. Phew - Disaster averted!

So, last night. I did take Elfybrit into Draenor. She started on the FFR quests, got her Garrison started, and got the JC hut set up and started getting Taladite Crystals. She also got to 91, and got the crafted Cloak and Gloves from Preisty. The only other thing I got done in WoW last night was to convert a lot of Sorcerous stuff to Sorcerous Earth, and crafted a few Hexweave Bags for the AH. Also, Priesty made a couple of Hexweave Essence for Elfy.

In Hearthstone, I didn't do much, but got on Europe, and finished the deal 100 damage playing my Mage, and got the 2 wins required for a quest too. I crafted another pack and got 2 Temple Enforcers! They went straight in my Priest deck.

This morning, I just did the Garrison stuff, then the Cooking and Fishing daily on Locky, the Garrison fishing daily on Beasty, and Beasty trapped more Elites in Nagrand. I played Hearthstone on Americas, had the win 5 as Hunter or Druid, Deal 100 damage to Heroes, and kill 40 minions. I did Tavern Brawl a few times, picking Hunter, and managed 1 win be made good progress on the other quests.

That's about it. Last Blaugust post tomorrow. It will another massive weekly update.

I hope to play Locky a bit today, maybe Elfy a bit more, and get the Americas Hearthstone quests done.

Blaugust Day 29 - Elfy gets to 90!

It's the 29th day of Blaugust. Let's see what I was up to last night and this morning.

The title news will come at the end, because it happened this morning. Last night, after Garrison chores and other chores (Priesty was low on Sumptuous Fur and Beasty was low on caged elites), Lockybrit got more play time. She completed a few dungeons, did more questing in Nagrand, and made it 68. She's now ready to hit Northrend.

In Hearthstone (Americas), I built a warrior deck for the 4 Horsemen (last boss of wing 3 of Naxx), and it worked perfectly, taking down the boss no problem. I then did the two class challenges that it opened up. This first was easy, but the 2nd, Warlock, took me about 3 tries to get it right. I then went on Europe and saw I had the win 2 with Priest or Warrior, and deal 100 damage to heroes. So I played my Priest casually, and went 2-0 and got 1 quest out of the way, with the 2nd about half done.

So, this morning, I did follower missions, and then played Elfybrit until she hit 90. It was questing in Jade Forest until 88, then a little bit of Valley of the Four Winds. Getting into Kun-Lai, doing quests up to One Keg to get the Grummlepack, hitting Temple of the White Tige, and she hit 90 doing the Winter's Blossom quests. She then got Pandaria flying, and flew around VFW and Dread Wastes, leveling mining a bit (now at 584). She's about to step through the portal to talk to Khadgar:

That's about it. No Hearthstone yet. I'll see what the quests are today, and try to bang them out. I also might try the 4th wing of Naxx. In WoW, I'll take Elfy into Draenor, and get started on the Jewelcrafting, I hope.

Blaugust Day 28 - My Hexweave Gloves are Selling!

It's the 28th day of Blaugust. Let's see what I got up to last night and this morning.

First, about the title. I've held off putting the six Hexweave Gloves I crafted on the AH, because they cost 6g each time they don't sell. But I saw only one up there for 1500g, so decided to list them all again for 1K each. And 2 of them sold! Yay. Priesty is now up to 99k gold :)

So, Garrison chores last night, and then I got on Lockybrit and ran Underbog and Mana Tombs while questing in Nagrand. She made it to level 66. So looking forward to getting her to 68 and into Northrend soon.

Contrary to what I said, I did play a lot of Hearthstone last night. I got the 5 wins as Mage or Hunter on Americas, and so I decided to try and get the wins on Tavern Brawl.  I did fine, and knocked it out using Mage in about 9 or 10 games. I also built a Paladin deck for Inspector Razuvious on Naxx, and actually succeeded!! It was a rush deck off the internet. I also played on Europe, and got another win as a Rogue, completing two quests. I tried the next boss with my Priest, but failed horribly, but at least saw what it did. I then built a Paladin deck for it, but didn't have time to try it again.

This morning, after follower missions, I quested on Elfybrit in Jade Forest, getting her to level 87. She killed the Jade Witch :)

Take that, Jade Witch!

She's now ready to do the Jade quests (you know, the taking Jade to people) and will soon head to VFW and Kun-Lai.

I played a bit of Hearthstone this morning too. Just trying my Paladin against the 2nd boss of the 3rd wing. Yes!! Success. It felt really good, because I built the deck from stratch, just knowing what the boss could do. I had enough gold, and bought another pack. I got 2 Unleash the Hounds in it :) Faith in Hearthstone restored.

Tonight, I will play Lockybrit and hope to get her into Northrend. I might also play Elfybrit, and I'll also play a bit of Hearthstone.
