Counting up My Gold!

Hi,

As this is a test to see if 90-95K is a reasonable amount to make in one month, I need to establish a baseline. So, I decided to count up all the gold on all my characters. I'm only counting the gold on level 100s and above. That way, there are no hidden garrison or flying costs in those. While characters are leveling, they need to get 280% flying, and get a level 3 garrison.

So, on characters that have 500K or more, I pass gold to one who will next be 500K. On ones that aren't the one I'm currently funding, I leave 2K on them, and pass the extra gold to the one I'm funding.

For example, on Ghostlands, I have 500K on 7 characters. I'm funding Trappybrit, who has 123,454, and have 2K on 3 characters. So that is 3,629,454 on Ghostlands.

On Draenor/Echo Isles, I have 500K on 5 characters. I'm funding Unstablebrit, who has 441,912, and have 2K on 6 characters. That's 2,953,912 on Draenor/Echo Isles.

On Garrosh, I have 212,443 and 2K => 214,443
On Silver Hand, I have 194,968 and 2x2K => 198,968

So, the grand total is 6,996,777. Wow!!

Now, how much have I made since I came back? I don't know, but on Garrosh, I only had 167K, so there's 47K right there (I actually bought quite a few Sorcerous Earth on the AH and made a ton of Hexweave Bags). And I'm pretty sure I've made over 50K on Draenor too. So, overall, with the bankroll I already have, and the ability to make over 100K per month with just garrisons and professions, I think I'm here to stay.

As to leveling. I did level Crazybrit a bit this week, finishing off Shadowmoon Valley. She's getting the Barn rolling, and I'm keen to get her higher to get a level 3 barn.

The Garrosh characters are slow going right now. Shammybrit got to level 13, and I started a new character (Platebrit) for the Plate baleful stuff. Lots of leveling to do, on both Silver Hand and Garrosh.

I also fed a few characters through the Broken Shores scenario, and got them their artifact weapon. I plan to do that on every character eventually.

Another thing I did was try and progress Broken Isles Pathfinder on Insanebrit. I did about 6 or 7 quests in Surumar but didn't make any progress at all....grrrr. So I went to wowhead and looked what was required. I'm getting close to the next minor achievement, and it needs lots of rep with Nightfallen to unlock. So I'm feeling better about it now.

Back to Silver Hand!

When I started leveling my Shaman on Garrosh, I remembered why I stopped playing there and went to Silver Hand instead. It's because CRZ is absolutely horrible on any non-RP realms, It was a slog through Elwyn Forest and then Westfall looked absolutely horrible. So, I stopped playing her at level 12, and went back to playing my Silver Hand toons.

I had also started getting a few more 100s through the Legion opening scenario, and then getting their artifact weapons, but I hesitated doing any leveling in Legion without flying (as flying is soon to come to Legion). So, I really concentrated on playing Insanebrit in Surumar a lot, getting the Exploration part done, and working on Good Suramaritan as the last part of Loremaster:

As you can see, still plenty to do. Then there are the reps to grind, and about 20 more World Quests to do. She did finish the Class Hall campaign though.

Now, i did say that coming back for a month was a test, to see if 90K was easily made in a month. Well, it certainly seems like it at the moment. All I'm doing is doing garrison stuff on Silver Hand, Draenor, Echo Isles, and Garrosh. Essentially, on all my Alliance 100s. I do garrison missions, ship missions (on 8 shipyards only). These make gold from all the stuff you can get from them. Primal Spirits -> Savage Blood for about 50g. The 655 and 670 gear. Medalion of the Legion, Frozen Arms of Hero, Bulging Barrel of Oil, Huge Ogre Cache etc,. Garrison resources for Sumptuous Fur. All the baleful gear from Shipyards makes a little gold, and I realized why I was leveling my Rogue on Silver Hand. She needs to get to 100 for all the Baleful leather gear! I leveled her a bit to 78.

I'm doing the mine and herb garden on 1 or 2 characters on Silver Hand, Garrosh, and Draenor, to support the professions. The professions I'm going are Tailoring, Alchemy, and Inscription. Tailoring for Hexweave Bags. Alchemy for Draenic Phil Stones to vendor. Inscription for Card of Omens to flip or sell on the AH.

So, I'm pretty sure with all my sales I've made over 30K since last Monday. The gold is coming in, even without soloing old Raids (which was my original intention).

I'm back!

Hi,

Yes, I'm back playing WoW. I still don't think they've fixed the loading time issues, but I don't have that on my Laptop.

So, it's a test of sorts. I had to give up 93K for a token. So I'm going to see if I can make at least 90K in a month.

I'm starting on my Garrosh characters. I have two at 100 and one at 90. I just put the first 100 though the Broken Isles scenario, and she also put tons of Draenor stuff on the AH. I realize my 2nd 100 is a 100 with a Stable, so I'll make sure to trap beasts for more Savage Blood.

I also started a new character, which will be a Herbalism/Alchemist. I'd deleted a lot of characters on Garrosh, but I'll just start again, no problem.

The plan for next week is of course to make at least 22.5K :)

The Last Blog Post

I've decided that this will be the last blog post. Just not feeling it any more.

I did stop playing WoW. I stopped due to the loading screen issues. If you don't know about this issue, go check it out:

This is really bad on the machine I play on. It's a 5 year old iMac with 4GB of memory. It takes ages to load the graphics in the Bnet launcher, and takes ages and ages to load up my Garrison, Dalaran, or (to a lesser extent) Stormwind City. This made it almost unplayable, trying to get the WoW 12th Anniversary stuff done on all my 100s on all realms.

So, I stopped playing and played Hearthstone and Civ 6 for most of the week. But then, I decided to fire it up on my laptop to see if it had the loading issues too? Lo and behold, it's a Holiday miracle. Almost instant loading. Well, my laptop is almost brand new, and does have 16GB of memory. So maybe that's the key. So, I started playing a bit again.

I got the WoW Anniversary stuff done on all my 100s on other realms (25 of them). I also dabbled with a couple of Horde Characters on Ghostlands too, getting them through the Broken Shores scenario, and getting them their Artifacts.

On Silver Hand, I did get Crazybrit through Hyjal and Uldum, and now she's 86 and questing in the Jade Forest.

I also played Derangedbrit a bit, getting to 71 and finishing off what I do in Borean Tundra. One thing I noticed was they've fixed Frozen Herbs. They no longer need 400 Herbalism to pick, and give skill ups now.

I also continued doing Garrison stuff on my Priest, Shaman, and DK. My DK got her Shipyard to level 3. She's also got a level 3 Scribe Shack for Card of Omens and the daily Merchant Order stuff. The first two complete merchant orders were 22g50s ones, which was nice.

WoW's 12th Anniversary!

Yep, it's WoW 12th Anniversary couple of weeks. Amazing, isn't it. WoW has been going for 12 years now. I haven't been playing since the start, but since about 2009.

Anyway, the event this year is a nice little bit of gold, and some Timewalking badges to buy the Corgi pet, or save up for the next Timewalking event. For a level 110, it's about 90 gold for the 2 quests and 225 badges. For a level 100, it's about 75g and 225 badges. Oh, and a 1hr repeatable buff that boosts XP and Rep from kills by 10%.

So, I'm going through all my Characters (all 110s and 100s on all realms) and the ones I'm leveling on Silver Hand too:

I think the badges can buy lots of gear that can be vendored too, but I need to check up on that.

OK, let's talk about Loading Screens. Since 7.1, I've had 1 1/2 to 2 minutes to load into Garrison, Dalaran, or to the Shrine. Stromwind City is a little better. But seriously, we've been complaining about it for weeks now on the forums, and Blizzard just isn't fixing it. I'm playing less and less because of it, and playing more and more Civ 6, and have started playing Hearthstone again.

One of the great things about WoW was that it's so quick to get in the game to play. This is now not the case, and is horrible for someone like me, who logs into lots of characters each day.

Anyway, rant over. What I did get done this week was to get Crazybrit to 80 and then started her in Hyjal and got to 81. I also got Derangedbrit to 70 and got her 280% flying. I also actually took Loopybrit to the Broken Isles and did some questing there. Then I remembered how I don't really like Azsuna questing at all. It will be much better once we have flying, but I've done absolutely nothing to get closer to that. Just not motivated to do much at all in WoW right now.

Oh, I also did quite a bit of Cooking and Fishing dailies on characters, and got Mentalbrit and Lunaticbrit to 62 doing that.

My 27th level 100!!

Yep, I have 12 on Draenor/Echo Isles, 10 on Ghostlands, 2 on Garrosh, and now this is my third to 100 on Silver Hand. Loopybrit made it to 100. I think this is my first DK at 100 too. So, she did the Artifact quests, and found them pretty hard. Especially the last part. That's until I realized I could stand to one side of the platform and avoid all those flying bolts of stuff. I really like her dual blades. A very nice artifact. Of course, I got to the Class Hall, and it looked very familiar:

A bit disappointed actually. Couldn't they have done something new? Anyway, that's the great thing about playing all classes, you get to see all the different Class Halls.

Since getting her Artifact, she's just been doing Garrison stuff (Tanaan daily, Fishing daily, and opening up the shipyard). She got to 101 not even setting foot on the Broken Isles :). She also got the Alchemy Shack all set up and is making lots of Draenic Philosophers Stones. In fact, she's now got a Scribe hut too, and is making lots of Card of Omens. A nice steady stream of income.

I also played Lavabrit a bit. It was Timewalking week, and so she did 5 Timewalking dungeons and finished up Val;Sharah while waiting for the queues to pop. She went from 779->808 just from timewalking. Lavabrit was also doing lots of Tanaan, and finally got the Oil Rig this week, and rerolled ships until she got a shorter mission one. So now she doesn't need to do Tanaan any more. I didn't do anything with Insanebrit for Flying this week. That's really on the back burner for now.

One other thing was getting all the characters through DMF for +5 on all their professions.

Also, I did play Crazybrit and Derangedbrit a bit, getting them to 76 and 68 respectively. Crazybrit is about to hit Shloz Basin, and Deranged is now ready for Northrend.

One other thing I need to talk about is the frustrating loading times. Loading into the Garrison or Dalaran is taking about 1 1/2 minutes. Also, getting the Battlenet client loaded with images is taking that long too. This is all since 7.1 and is so frustrating! I'm also a bit pissed off with Legion right now. That's why Loopybrit hasn't been to Broken Isles yet, and why Lavabrit hasn't started with Stormheim.

Of course, I still didn't play a lot this week because of Civ 6. Also, I dabbled a bit in Hearthstone :)

Flying is Coming!!

Yes, that's right, we're going to get Flying in Legion in 7.2. There's no date for that yet, but we can assume it's in the first half of 2017. There will be a Pathfinder part 2 in 7.2, but let's get Pathfinder part 1 out of the way.

Part 1 has 5 requirements:

1. Explore Legion
2. Do 100 distinct World Quests
3. Loremaster of Legion
4. Complete your Class Order Hall Quest chain
5. Earn Revered with all Legion Factions

So, I started with the easiest. I got Insanebrit exploring everywhere and got #1 out of the way pretty quick. Highmountain was definitely the worst. Azsuna, Val'Sharah, and Surumar were pretty easy, and Stormheim wasn't too bad.

Then I decided to work on Loremaster, with World Quests too. She did lots of World Quests (now 51/100) and did lots of questing in Surumar. But it's really hard to figure out what's required for Good Surumaritan, After lots of questing, here's the status:

She did a bit more Class Order Hall questing too, but has now hit a wall, with a quest hand in giving 1K Ancient Mana, and she can only hold 500 at once. Yikes. Reps are also going to take a long time.

Pretty much everything was on the back burner except for that and the Garrisons ticking over. But I did get Loopybrit to 98 and Derangedbrit to 66, I also played my Druid a bit, getting her ready for DMF by getting all her profs to 75.

Oh with DMF, I also got my first 800 in a profession. Insanebrit's Herbalism! 4 have been through DMF so far. 8 to go.

The other thing Insanebrit did was get to 825 and headed into LFR. She tried the first wing. Lots of trash and the first boss was horrible. I did get an 835 Head piece, but I already have 840. I decided LFR just isn't worth it. So I quit after the first boss and won't be doing that any more.

4 have been through DMF so far. 8 to go.

Again, I didn't play a lot this week. Civ 6 is still going strong.

So, the plan for next week is to continue to work on Pathfinder Part 1, and get Loopybrit to 100 and start on her Artifact and Class Hall stuff. Oh I know you can start Legion at 98, but she has two invasion chests I want to open at 100 :). I'll also try to level Deranged and Crazy a bit more.
