Shipyards Ahoy!!

Hi,

In both WoW and Hearthstone this week, I had issues. I'll get to that further down. For now, let's see what's going on in WoW:

WoW:

Shipyards? Yep - 3 of them. I decided to try and play them this week and see what it was like to maintain them, and what I could get from them. Why, you ask? It's not like they contribute to the Master Plan at all, right? Yep, that's right. But that's one of the issues I faced this week. I felt like 5 100s were enough, and that I wanted to play them, so I had a hard time motivating myself to level any of the others.

So, to maintain a shipyard, you need Oil. Where does Oil come from? 600 from a daily in Tanaan Jungle. So, Priesty, Beasty, and Shammy all were doing stuff in Tanaan this week. Some bonus objectives give Oil too. Doing ship missions twice a day, you probably need about 200-400 Oil a day. Once you get to Revered with Vol'jin Headhunters, you can get an Oil Rig, where you can get an Oil ship mission each day. That's what I'm aiming for.

So, how far did I get. Well, all three were working on getting a L3 Shipyard, but Beasty got there first :)

And there she is, with a command table in her garrison. Although with flying, it was only a few seconds to get to the one at the shipyard :). Priesty was only just behind. She's on 24/25 Treasure missions and will get the 25th completed tonight. Shammy is way behind, because she started later, and had a couple of missions fail, and got some ships destroyed and is re-building.

With all the play in Tanaan Jungle, I decided to actually do Kazzak on my 100s this week. I actually got it done on 4 out of 5 this week, with only Lockybrit not doing it, as she only just got to Tanaan. So, I got plenty of Felblight this week. Beasty even crafted a Mighty upgrade. I did get a reasonable amount from Herbing and Mining in Tanaan too.

Another issue I had was doing Iron Harbor Assault on Priesty for the daily. The bonus objective for it was up too, but when I completed it, the quest completed, but it said Iron Harbor Assault Failed, for the Bonus Objective. Thankfully, a ticket later, and a nice response, they granted Priesty the 600 Oil and 2000 Apexis that she should have got.

Oh yeah, with all the Apexis everyone was getting, and all the Baleful tokens from the Ship missions, they all geared up a lot this week. Beasty's at 683 now! And, Priesty got an Iron Horde treasure chest from Ship missions, but it was 685 Gloves, and she already has the 685 crafted ones - aaargghh!.

I also decided to work on Zone completion for the characters too. Beasty finished up Nagrand, and Locky worked on some bonus objectives, but hasn't finished another zone yet. Also, garrisons are getting filled out on all the 100s. Priesty, Beasty, and Shammy all have everything at level 3, Elfy has a couple of L2s to get to level 3, and Locky switched from the Lumber Mill to the Barn, and will start trapping Elites soon.

For gold, Priesty sold tons of stuff on the AH this week. Potions, Flasks, Ore, Herbs, Runes etc. She's over 200k now, and Beasty and Shammy are passively getting lots of gold too.

Over the weekend, I did decide to get back to leveling, and actually played Huntingbrit in Northrend, and got her to level 73. She will be the next level 100. I also got all the characters through DMF too.

I got a lot done this week :)

BTW: I'm really torn over the professions that I have doubles of now. I went with 2 Tailors and 2 Leatherworkers, because I thought I'd need the extras for all the crafting. But I don't. My one tailor and one LW are swimming in profession mats. So, maybe I'll go with a 3rd JC, or another Scribe or something, with an eye on making more gold.

Hearthstone:

The bug is still not fixed where it crashed if you try to edit a deck on the Mac. There's a workaround that was working reasonably for me though, and I did manage to edit my Priest deck. I had crafted some more cards, and wanted to try out my new deck for ranked. I played about 3 matches in Casual, and it just didn't work out, losing all 3. Back to the drawing board.

I did manage to get quests completed on both Americas and Europe however, and on Americas, I did get some really good cards from packs. I got King Krush in one of them. In Europe, I've been saving up, and will start buying Naxx wings. I just got to more than 700g last night. On Europe, I also played my pretty basic Priest in Ranked, getting to Rank 20.

The plan for this week is to continue with the shipyards, get Elfy and Locky geared up more, and level Huntingbrit some more. I'll probably try to work on the Master Plan a bit more too. In Hearthstone, I hope they get the Mac bug fixed. I want to compete BRM on Americas, and get Naxx wing 1 on Europe. I'll complete the quests each day, and may try to advance a bit in Ranked.

My 5th Horde 100!

WoW:

Yep, Lockybrit made it to 100 this week. She did the usual Gorgrond->A bit of Talador->Complete Spires->Some Nagrand route, taking in Skyreach to get the 640 ring, and finish the last quest for Spires. She was at iLvL 606 when she got to 100. Then, she did one Timewalking dungeon, and got a few 675 pieces, taking her to 636. Timewalking weekends are the best time for gearing up your alts. You get 500+ Badges for the first run, and can turn that into a few pieces of gear, but then need to wait for the other (WOLK in this case) weekend to get some more pieces.

The other 100s finished up their gearing from Timewalking too. They just went to Shattrath and bought the pieces they were missing, and got a really nice iLvL boost.

I was doing the Shipyard on Priesty, Beasty, and Shammy, but noticed I was getting low on Oil on Beasty and Shammy. So I took them to Tanaan Jungle, and did some dailies to get the gold. Beasty also got in a Kazzak group, and got 7 more Felblight, meaning that I had enough for the first upgrade beyond level 4. Beasty crafted a Might Burnished Essence for herself.

I also played Voidbrit and Huntingbrit a bit. Voidbrit made it to 73, and Huntingbrit finished off Outland, getting to level 68. Those will be my next two 100s.

Hearthstone:

A bit of an issue this week. As I play on a Mac, I wasn't able to edit any decks at all this week. It just freezes when you try to edit it a deck. It's a known issue with no resolution as yet. So, I had a hard time getting quests complete. I did manage some here and there though, and am still racking up a bit of gold on both Americas and Europe. I played my Priest to get to Rank 20, but stalled there, losing and losing all my level 20 stars. I played my aggro Hunter in Casual to grind some gold, and am really getting used to it. I may play it in Ranked next.

Gold, Tokens, and the Master Plan!

WoW:

First, let's talk about Tokens. I kept getting reminded in the launcher that I only had 4 months remaining. I'm planning to play for a lot longer, and not getting bored with the Master Plan or anything, so I decided that the time was ripe to get more tokens. This is especially because the price has been rising steadily, just got over 30K, and just back to just below 30K. So, I got on Draenybrit, and used some of the 532K to buy 5 tokens for about 29K each. Yay, no more launcher reminding.

Now, let's talk about Gold. Because I was away for a week, I hadn't put anything on the AH for ages. So, I had lots of stuff to sell, and to make and sell. I put up all sorts of stuff"

True Iron Ore, Blackrock Ore, Frostweed, Gorgrond Flytrap, Greater Draenic Intellect Flask, Draenic Agility Potion, Draenic Strength Potion, Whiptail (that I farmed), Raw Beast Hide, Wayfaring Belt, Hexweave Gloves, and Hexweave Essence.

The Hexweave Essence was a test. I bought 15 Savage Blood, and 15 Sorecerous Water on AH (spending about 1.5K). I then crafted one, and it sold for 4.4K. Not bad at all. So, my gold making really went up this week, just doing the Garrison missions, and selling stuff on the AH.

About the Master Plan. Major Progress this week, as Lockybrit made it to 90, and started contributing to Leveling. She also just finished the Frostfire Ridge quests and Bonus Objectives for another point in Completing Draenor. She also got a couple of crafted pieces from Priesty for a couple more points in the Crafted Gear category. She actually got to level 93, and is now ready to hit Gorgrond. I got the Lumber Mill for her (barn later) just to accelerate the GRs a bit. She's already flown to Gorgrond for some small trees. Here she is, completing the FFR Bonus Objectives:

Other than this, Voidbrit leveled a bit, making it to level 72. She'll be the next power leveler :). I also played Combatbrit a bit, and leveled her to 64. Now everyone is at least 64.

Hearthstone:

In Hearthstone, I continued doing quests when I had 3 of them, on both Americas and Europe. I also did the Brawl on both, and got the free packs. I switched from Classic to Goblins and Gnomes on Americas, but when I filtered my collection and showed all the good Classic cards I was missing, I went back to Classic packs :) I also decided to try grinding for wins for 10g for 3 wins. To do this, I crafted a budget Face Hunter, and had fun playing in Casual, winning most of my games. Here's the deck:

Except that I don't have 2 Arcane Golems, so I subbed in a 3 cost Sleath beast for it. I also decided to play Ranked again, and played my Priest. I had a nice win streak going, but it stopped when I faced a really good Paladin deck, that played Muster for Battle and then the Battlecry all Recruits have +2 attack, after I had already used both my Holy Novas - sigh. Well, I got to rank 18, so that's where I'll stop.

The plans for next week are level Locky to 100. Also, to level Void much higher, and probably gear all the 100s a bit more in the Timewaling BC event which is coming up next weekend. Also, I'm doing shipyards, and need to get the Battleship plans on Priesty, so I want to get that done too.

In Hearthstone, I'll continue doing the quests, and the brawls, and hope to complete BRM on Americas too.

Back from the Uk!

Hi,

I'm back, and playing again. I was in the UK for a week for my mum's birthday and to see other family. I managed to play a little bit over there on my laptop, but just doing garrison stuff once in a while.

I got back last night and did more garrison chores, went to Sunsong Ranch, trapped some more elite beasts, and then leveled Lockybrit to 85. She's questing in Panadaria now, and got to 86 this morning.

Well, what was I up to before I went, and since the last blog post?

I remember taking Elfybrit through a Timewalking Dungeon and then getting tons of Timewarped gear to make it to 639. Other than doing garrison chores on the level 100s, I also made lots of gear upgrades, and Elfy crafted a ring for Priesty and gearing up is going very nicely indeed. I can't wait for the next Timewaling bonus event towards the end of September, so I can can get more 675 pieces.

The rest of the time was spent on Lockybrit. She leveled through the end of Norhtrend, only needing to do a bit of Icecrown. She then breezed through Cata, only doing Mount Hyjal and Uldum, and made it to level 86. I think I need to level one of the others now also.

In Hearthstone, I've been waiting until I get three quests before I do them. That's because they usually overlap somewhat, and it's nice to be making progress on two at once. I am getting a new Classic pack every time I get to 100g, and am getting more cards on both Europe and Americas. I also did the Brawls to get my free pack each week.I also cleared quite a bit of BRM on Americas. It's annoying not having the Adventures on Europe, but I'm doing that as strictly F2P. I guess I could save up the gold, but I'm not doing that yet.,

The plan for the coming week is to level Locky and get her into Draenor. She'll actually get a barn and be my second elite trapper. Then I need to choose my next to level. I think it will be Voidbrit. Enchanting will be useful. In Hearthstone,  I'll clear more of BRM, and continue to do quests and Brawls in both Americas and Europe. I got to Rank 20 on both of them a while back, and won't try to push any higher I don't think.

My 4th Horde 100!

Yep, Elfy got to 100 just this morning. She finished off Spires of Arak just after hitting 98. She then did Skyreach for the final quest and to get the 640 ring, and hit Nagrand at about 98 1/2. I decided to grind some Gorgrond bonus objectives to boost the xp and for the Master Plan, and quested a fair bit in Nagrand, and mined tons of ore, to finally get to 100. Oh, she also got mining to 700.

Other than leveling Elfy, I also leveled Locky a bit this week. She quested in Borean Tundra, hit Dragonblight, did a few dungeons, and hit level 74, and is about to head to Grizzly Hills. She will be the main focus, now that Elfy has hit 100.

I also leveled Mageybrit a bit. She did the Naga quests, a few dungeons, some other Zangamarsh quests, and made it to 64.

Another focus this week was Timewalking Dungeons. When I read up on wowhead what you could get with Timewarped Badges (lots of 675 gear), I decided that that would be the best way to gear up. And indeed it was. Just doing one Timewalking dungeon gave my 100s 500+ Badges to get all the gear they needed, but once they finish 5, then get a 690 random piece too. This is amazing. Shammy got the most benefit, as she was the lowest geared, but Beasty and Priesty also got geared up more. Elfy will definitely have to get one done tonight.

In crafting news, Shammy upgraded her trinket to 685. Beasty crafted a couple more Burnished essence, to upgrade herself and Shammy, and Elfy crafted a neckpiece for herself. She's now getting the Secrets for the Taladite Amplifier recipe.

In Hearthstone. On Americas, I kept doing quests and opening packs. I also cleared Naxx, and will buy BRM this week. My Priest deck is still going well, and I got to Rank 20 again for this season. I don't know whether to bother trying to get any higher, because that's where the really good decks with tons of Legendaries are, and I usually lose a lot there. I also created my own Mage deck for fun. Regular Mage cards, but tons of Protectors. Quite fun, and winning more than losing in casual. On Europe, I also got to Rank 20 with Priest, and got quests done and opened packs. I can't make decks as good as Americas though, because no Naxx cards.

Now, let's see how the WoW Master Plan is coming along.
